- CBM Watch. Canadian based. Monitors coalbed methane activities.
- Citizens Concerned About Coalbed Methane. Based in Fernie, B.C. Website has links to most newspaper stories published on the Subject.
- Flathead Lakers. Based in Polson, Montana. One of the original members of the Flathead Coalition, works on issues concerning Flathead Lake. Extensive website.
- Montana Wilderness Association. Based in Helena, Montana. Has campaigned for wilderness since 1958. Has field office in Kalispell.
- National Parks & Conservation Association. National organization, with field office in Whitefish, Montana, manned by Steve Thompson. Website is elegant, but loads slowly with a modem connection.
- North Fork Preservation Association. Based in Polebridge, Montana. Long history of working on developments issues affecting the North Fork valley. Website has links to news stories and other resources.
- Northern Plains Resource Council. Southeastern Montana based. Long history of working on coal mining and coalbed methane issues.

Deals with coalbed methane as well as oil and conventional natural gas. - Powder River Basin Resource Council. Wyoming based. Website has section on coalbed methane.
